Quality assurance helps in technology transfer. This function involves getting a product design document as well as trial and error data and its evaluation. The documents are distributed, checked and approved. Resource planning for execution of a validation plan is done. QA also helps in assuring quality of products and quality improvement plans. Quality assurance is used in project management to help companies avoid making mistakes and to minimize potential risks.
